Helen Ford, Left, President of the Board of Directors of the Outer Banks Community Foundation, congratulates Amy Bryson who is the 2007 recipient of the $5,000 renewable Milton A. Jewell Scholarship Fund award.  Amy is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and plans to double major in journalism and political science at Boston University.  The Milton A. Jewell Scholarship Fund was established by the Foundation with a bequest from former Southern Shores resident Ruth Medgyes who wanted to honor her grandfather and help outstanding students attend college.  Amy also received a scholarship from the Outer Banks Association of Realtors Scholarship Fund managed by the Outer Banks Community Foundation.
